Vatel
Back in 1671, with war brewing with Holland, a penniless prince inquires Louis XIV to about three days of celebrations at a chateau in Chantilly. The prince wants a commission because an overall, hence the extravagances are to impress the king. In charge of most is the steward, Vatel. The prince is craven in his wanting for stature: no job is dishonorable or too menial for him to offer Vatel. '' he finds himself attracted the king's newest mistress, to Anne de Montausier while Vatel attempts to preserve faith.
