Veronika Voss

Veronika Voss, a German film star, becomes a drug addict in Munich in 1955, at the mercy of the corrupt Dr. Marianne Katz, who supplies her with morphine. Veronika begins to fantasize about a return to stardom after meeting sports writer Robert Krohn. As the couple's relationship becomes more intense, Veronika begins seriously considering a return to the screen, only to realize how debilitated she has become as a result of her drug addiction.
