Words and Music
Encomium to Larry Hart (1895-1943), seen through the fictive eyes of his own song-writing partner, Richard Rodgers (1902-1979): out of their very first meeting, during thin years and their discovery, with their successes Broadway, London, and Hollywood. We view the fruits of Hart and Rodgers' alliance - elaborately staged numbers by their plays, personalities' visits to dance clubs, along with impromptu performances at parties. We see Larry approach Richard wooing of Dorothy Feiner, his unhappiness, also also his failed love with Peggy McNeil.
