Biography
Biography is just a tv series. This was a filmed show hosted by Mike Wallace and produced by David Wolper from 1961 to 1964 for CBS. The A&E Network it has produced fresh episodes since 1987 and later reran it. The variant featured long-dead entertainment amounts like Will Rogers or even John Barrymore, or ancient figures like Helen Keller and Mark Twain. The A&E series has put the emphasis on these people as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Plácido Domingo, Freddie Mercury, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Eric Clapton, Pope John Paul II, Gene Tierney, Selena, Diego Rivera, Mao Zedong and Queen Elizabeth II, along with literary characters like The Phantom, Superman, Hamlet, Betty Boop, along with Santa Claus. This program wound up devoting enough amounts which to an entire network, it spun off in 1999.
Most of the episodes featured the entire life stories of historical figures or social or political leaders. People like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare, Enrico Caruso, and Eva Peron were profiled. After a few decades the show began episodes on figures from popculture, including Marilyn Manson, Al Pacino, Johnny Depp and Britney Spears. This move apart from subject material has been criticized by some.
