Brass Eye
Brass Eye is really a UK tv series of news magazines. A series of six episodes aired on Channel 4 in 1997, and a further incident in 2001.
The series was created by Chris Morris, and composed by David Quantick, Morris, Peter Baynham, Jane Bussmann, Arthur Mathews and Graham Linehan. Michael Cumming led the series. It ended up being a sequel to Morris spoof news programs On The Hour and The Day Today. It satirised media portrayal of societal ills, in creation and sensationalism of moral panics. The series starred Morris's The Day to Day colleague Doon MacKichan and Gina McKee, Mark Heap, Simon Pegg, Julia Davis and Kevin Eldon.
