Convoy
Convoy is a 13-episode American tv series set during World War II which seemed 1966 tv season.
The show starred John Gavin as Commander Dan Talbot of this US Navy destroyer escort"DD181" and John Larch as civilian retailer Captain Ben Foster of their freight boat"Flagship", who were involved with the convoy ships and their escorts which help to transport food, supplies and war substances across the Atlantic during the Battle of the Atlantic. The show also featured Linden Chiles as Steve Kirk and James T. Callahan, before ABC's Wendy and Me Sit-com, at the role of Lieutenant O'Connell. Stars were Jeremy Slate, Jack Palance, Barbara Rush, James Doohan, Leslie Nielsen, Horst Ebersberg, Harold Gould, and Dennis Hopper.
Convoy was clearly one of the NBC show in white and black. The use of stock footage made color hopeless. As a result NBC affiliates refused to clear that the program, which didn't scale outside of the'bottom 10' in the Nielsen ratings. This program was released on September 17, 1965, and the last episode aired on December 10.
