DARLING in the FRANXX
The events of the story take place in some time in the far future. Plantation is a mobile fort city that is established by humanity after the land has been despoiled. The residence of the Plantation's pilots, known colloquially as the "birdcage," is located in Mistilteinn. Children are raised there with little knowledge of the wider world or of the joys of flying through the air. Their lives revolve around engaging in combat in order to complete their objectives. Their foes are unknown gigantic lifeforms known as Kyouryuu, and the youngsters fight them by piloting robots known as Franxx. Their adversaries are mystifying. Riding the Franxx is the children's way of validating their very existence. Code:016 is the alias given to a young boy whose name is Hiro, and he was formerly considered a child genius. However, he is currently behind, and it is unclear whether he should even continue to exist. If you don't fly a Franxx, you might as well stop existing altogether. One day, a mystery female who goes by the name "Zero Two" shows up in front of him. Her crown is crowned with not one but two horns.
