Davy Crockett
Davy Crockett is really just a sequential which aired in one-hour episodes to the Disneyland series on ABC. The show stars Fess Parker as Buddy Ebsen along with frontiersman Davy Crockett as his buddy, George Russel.
The first three episodes of the serial were edited together in the 1960s if the Disney program went into NBC because King of the Wild Frontier, the 1955 picture Davy Crockett, and rebroadcast in color. This show and film have been famous for the catchy theme song,"The Ballad of Davy Crockett". It had been filmed in colour at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park at the Mountain Farm Museum next to the visitor center at Oconaluftee near Qualla Reservation's entrance and Janss Conejo Ranch, California.
The last two episodes were edited together as the 1956 theatrical film Davy Crockett and the River Pirates. It was filmed in Cave in Rock, Illinois.
