The story revolves around Haruka Nanase, a boy who's always adored to be immersed in water, and also to swim in it. Before graduating from school, he also engaged in a swimming tournament along with his fellow swimming team members, including Makoto Tachibana, Nagisa Hazuki, along with R IN Matsuoka. After achieving success, the boys each went their individual ways. At the exact middle in their school resides R-IN appears and challenges, also time passed Haruka to a match, showing Haruka his power. Perhaps not needing to end like this, Haruka, gathers Nagisa and Makoto again together and attracts a fresh member named Rei Ryugazaki to generate the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club in order to conquer R IN.
