Getting Together

Getting is an American musical situation comedy, that aired throughout the 1971-72 season on the ABC television system. It stars Wes Stern as Bobby Conway along with Bobby Sherman a duo, along with Lionel Poindexter. The pilot for the show had aired the previous spring first season finale episode of The Partridge Family called"A Knight in Shining Armor", by which Lionel and Bobby were introduced into one another by the Partridges. Stern's along with sherman characters were allegedly based on the real-life songwriting group of Hart and Boyce, who had written hits for The Monkees, Jay and the Americans, along with others. Audio needless to say was a staple of the series, provided by much of the team that generated records and the Partridge Family songs. Most of those songs were from two Bobby Sherman albums -- Getting Together and Only For You.
