Ghostbusters
Ghostbusters is a animated television series written by Tribune Entertainment and created by Filmation and launched following the success of Columbia Pictures and Ivan Reitman' 1984 film Ghostbusters. It produced 65 events and ran from September 8 to December 5, 1986 in daylight syndication. The cartoon was founded from 1975 titled The Ghost Busters. It is never to be mistaken with the animated show. Columbia images had to obtain the rights to this name out of Filmation because of its film, and Filmation went to production based on the characters from its own series, afterwards Ghostbusters was a winner. The series is called simply"ghost busters", but home video releases used the name"Filmation's Ghostbusters" in order to avoid confusion. Reruns of the show air on Qubo Nightowl, also on the Retro Television Network. The series may also be seen on Hulu.
