In Living Color
In Living Color is a American comedy television series which originally ran on the Fox Network to May 19, 1994, in April 15, 1990. Brothers Keenen and Damon Wayans made, wrote and starred at the program. The show has been taped on Sunset Boulevard at Hollywood, California at the Fox Television Center and had been created by Ivory Way Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The title of the series has been motivated by the NBC statement of broadcasts being exhibited"in living color" throughout the 1950s and 1960s, ahead of main stream color tv. It also indicates the fact most of the show's throw are shameful, unlike other sketch comedy shows such as Saturday Night Live whose casts are usually mostly white.
Different members of the Wayans family -- Marlon, Shawn and Kim -- had roles, while brother Dwayne appeared as a extra. The show also starred the Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx, and David Alan Grier. Celebrity Rosie Perez, choreographer Carrie Ann Inaba along with Dancing with the Stars judge and dancer Jennifer-lopez were members of the dance troupe The Fly Girls of the show. The series won the Emmy for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series at 1990.
