JAG
JAG is a American legal drama television series with a distinct military theme, created by Donald P. Bellisario, and produced by Belisarius Productions in association with Paramount Network Television. The season was co-produced with NBC Productions.
Originally conceived like a Top Gun matches A Few Good Men, the pilot episode of JAG first aired on NBC on September 2-3, 1995. But the show was canceled on May 22, 1996 after completing 79th from the ratings, leaving one episode unaired. Rival network CBS found the series to get a midseason replacement, starting January 3, 1997. CBS's decision to air JAG was shown to be a fantastic move, since JAG has been on the air for nine seasons and for all seasons climbed from the ratings. JAG spawned the hit show NCIS, which subsequently spun off a second struck, NCIS: Los Angeles.
Over 10 seasons , 227 episodes were produced in total and JAG was throughout its 5th season found in over 100 countries worldwide. JAG was so popular that it entered syndication in 1999 and it is still regularly repeated.
