L.A. Law
L.A. Law can be an American television legal drama show that ran for eight seasons on NBC from September 1-5, 1986, to May 19, 1994.
Created by Steven Bochco and Terry Louise Fisher, it included many of the trademark features of Bochco including a large numbers of parallel storylines drama and humor that was off-the-wall. It reflected the cultural and social ideologies of the 1980s and early 1990s, and many of the cases featured on the series dealt with issues like homosexual rights, racism, abortion, homophobia, sexual harassment, AIDS, and domestic violence. The show regularly also represented anxieties between their qualified staff and the affluent senior attorney protagonists.
The series won 15 Emmy Awards, and was popular with critics and audiences.
