Less Than Kind
Greater Than Kind can be actually a tv comedy-drama series that celebrities Jesse Camacho as Sheldon Blecher, a teenager growing up in a Jewish family in Winnipeg. The show's cast includes Nancy Sorel as his cousins, Clara and Wendel Meldrum as the parents of Sheldon, Benjamin Arthur as his brother Josh, and Maury Chaykin. The Blechers find it difficult to operate a school out of the home in Winnipeg's evaporating North End. Greater than Kind made its debut October 13, 2008, on city tv, also moved in February 2010 to HBO Canada.
The ensemble cast of the critically acclaimed series won Comedy Awards in 2010 and 2009. Less Than Kind received the 2010 Gemini Award at the 2013 Canadian Screen awards for Best Comedy Program or Series and the inaugural award for Best Comedy Series.
The title sequence and logo for Less Than Kind were motivated by an street sign at the Confusion Corner intersection of Winnipeg, depicting arrows.
The name of the series is available in the very first line spoken by Hamlet:"A bit more than kin, and less than kind."
