Living Single
The American sitcom Living Single ran on the Fox network for five seasons, from August 22, 1993, to January 1, 1998. The show was about six friends who lived together in a Brooklyn brownstone and talked about their personal and work lives. During its five-year run, Living Single was one of the most popular African-American sitcoms of its time. In African-American ratings, it was always in the top five. Sister Lee, which is owned by Yvette Lee Bowser, worked with Warner Bros. Television to make the show. In the 1990s, NBC's "Must See TV" was popular on Thursday nights, but many African Americans and Latinos watched Fox's lineup of Martin, Living Single, and New York Undercover on Thursday nights. In fact, these were the three shows that black households watched the most during the 1996–1997 season.
