Mad About You
Mad About You is a American sitcom that aired on NBC in September 23, 1992 to May 2-4, 1999. The show stars Helen Hunt and Paul Reiser as a couple in New York City. Reiser and a documentary filmmaker, Paul Buchman played with. Hunt played with a community relations pro, Jamie Stemple Buchman. Near the close of the run of the show, the couple had a baby daughter, whom they called Mabel.
The series focuses on the newly weds while they coped with everything from daily minutiae to major battles. The series's willingness to find comedy in dialogue and circumstances acquired it contrasts another NBC humor about thirty-somethings in nyc, to Seinfeld.
Paul Reiser and helen Hunt were paid $1 million per episode for the previous season. Ratings fell that year while the series was shuffled to prop up a fledgling Monday night lineup of comedies on NBC. The last episode of the series was"The Final Frontier".
The show's theme song,"Final Frontier", was written by Reiser and Don Was. Andrew Gold originally performed the theme, but a variation made its debut midway during the 1997 season. Baker's variation was used for the remaining portion of the conduct of the show and appears on the show's soundtrack album. The version of gold is on the collection Thanks You for Being a Friend: The Best of Andrew Gold.
