Nuclear Family
Ry Russo-Young transforms the camera on her own past to explore the meaning of family members. In the late 70s/early 80s, when the idea of a gay household was unthinkable to most, Ry as well as her sis Cade were born to two lesbian mothers via sperm donors. Ry's ideal youth was endangered by an unanticipated lawsuit which sent out shockwaves with her family members's lives and also continues to reverberate today.
