Packed to the Rafters
Packed to the Rafters is an Australian television series that premiered on the Seven Network on Tuesday 26 August 2008 in 8:30 pm. The show has lasted Tuesdays in this time slot for its entire run. The play series features a variety of light hearted comedy woven through the plot. It revolves round the Rafter family facing life issues and work pressures, whilst handling acute issues. The Logie award winning set has been the maximum rating and also the show has always been one of the top 5 shows of this year.
It was announced in TV Week that the first season of Packed to the Rafters are the last, with Hugh Sheridan saying:"It is emotional letting go of Rafters -- for us. It was an awesome chapter in TV. I am really proud we came together to send it off" The series finale of all Rafters aired on 2 July 2013, that saw the return of Jessica McNamee, Jessica Marais, Ryan Corr, Hugh Sheridan and James Stewart. Rebecca Gibney said,"The cast, designers and manufacturers have consistently stated we wanted to maintain Rafters as one of the most-watched shows on TV. When we felt as though we lost too many cast members, we all had to get rid of it on a higher. We can declare season six winds up an aspect of the Rafter family and there's a feeling of finality for this "
