Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal
Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal is a Canadian science fiction drama television series that broadcast 88 episodes over four seasons from 1996 to 2000 and was filmed in and around Toronto, Ontario. Although the show was a written drama, the fact that Dan Aykroyd opened and closed each episode and emphasized the validity of the organization it was based on prompted some viewers to take it more seriously than intended. Aykroyd received the "Snuffed Candle" award in 1997 from the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry, then known as the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal, for "contributing to the public's lack of knowledge of the techniques of scientific inquiry."
