Samurai Deeper Kyo
Akimine Kamijyo is the creator of the manga series Samurai Deeper Kyo, which he also illustrates. Samurai Deeper Kyo is a Japanese historical manga series that is set during the Edo period of Japan's history. The plot follows Demon Eyes Kyo, a feared samurai who is attempting to reclaim control of his body after having his soul locked inside the body of his opponent, Mibu Kyoshiro. The bounty hunter Shiina Yuya, who is also the heir to the Tokugawa shogunate Benitora, as well as Sanada Yukimura, who is well-known for being an adversary of the Tokugawa, assist Kyo in his search for Benitora. Samurai Deeper Kyo was originally published as a serial in Kodansha's Weekly Shnen Magazine beginning on October 15, 1999 and continuing until May 10, 2006, after which it was collected into 38 volumes. In 2002, the manga was turned into an animated television series for television. The Studio Deen production had a total of 26 episodes that were shown on TV Tokyo between the dates of July 2, 2002 and December 23, 2002. The anime and manga have both been given licenses to be distributed in the United States of America, Canada, and the United Kingdom. In 2002, Tokyopop obtained the rights to publish the manga. However, by the year2009, Kodansha had allowed its licensing arrangements to lapse, which prevented Tokyopop from continuing the series in its English-language adaptation. Shortly after that, Samurai Deeper Kyo was taken up by Del Rey Manga, and they have now finished the series by releasing volumes 35 and 36 of the manga together in a single volume, as well as volumes 37 and 38 together in a single volume. The AnimeWorks label of Media Blasters was responsible for the acquisition of the anime series in the year 2003. appeared on Encore network channels in the United States for a limited amount of time.
