Scene of the Crime

Tatort is a, crime video series set in parts of these nations. The show is aired on the stations of ARD in Germany, ORF 2 in Austria and SF-1 in Switzerland. The very first episode was aired on November 29, 1970. The opening sequence for the show has stayed the same through the years, which remains extremely strange for any such long-running tv-series current. Each of the regional television stations which form ARD, plus ORF and SF, produces a unique episodes, starring its police inspector, a few which, like the discontinued Schimanski, have become cultural icons. The show looks on DasErste and ORF 2 on Sundays at 8:15 p.m. and now about 30 episodes have been created annually. At the time of March 2013, 865 episodes altogether are produced. Tatort Is being aired in the USA on the MHz World-view station under the title Scene of the Crime.
