Soldier Soldier
Soldier Soldier is a British television drama show. The name originates from a classic song of the identical name -"Soldier, soldier are you going to marry mepersonally, with your musket, fife and drum?" - of which was used as its theme music, a worthy version.
Produced by Central Television and broadcast on the ITV network, it conducted from 1991 to 1997 for a total of 82 episodes along with seven seasons. It featured a group of soldiers' lives in'B' Company, 1st Battalion The King's Fusiliers, a British Army infantry regiment dependent around the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. Place in the immediate wake of the Cold War, it is regarded as a true depiction of army life at early to mid-1990s, once the British Army was experiencing change. That is best exhibited approximately 1994, when a range of regiments were forced into amalgamations with one another due to downsizing of their army. In the world of Soldier Soldier, the King's Fusiliers are forced to amalgamate with the Cumbrian Regiment getting the King's Own Fusiliers. At time Soldier Soldier has been broadcast, and the fatality rate was low with casualties because of training accidents and suicides. The military as a whole was delegated to performing peacekeeping missions. As a consequence, the show functioned well to describe the army, at a fairly decent light, regardless of the issues that can occur.
