Team Knight Rider
Between 1997 and1998, a syndicated television series based on the Knight Rider films, called Team Knight Rider, aired. As executive producers, Rick Copp and David A. Goodman wrote and produced THR, which was based on the original series by Glen A. Larson. After only one season of 22 one-hour episodes, Universal Domestic Television decided to cancel Gil Wadsworth and Scott McAboy's TKR owing to low ratings. To continue the legacy of Michael Knight and his supercar KITT, the Foundation for Law and Government has recruited a new team of high-tech criminal fighters. Rather than "one man making a difference," there are now five team members, each of whom has a digital talking vehicle equivalent. When it comes to criminals that operate "beyond the law," like spies, assassins, and drug dealers, the TKR team is right up there with the original combo in that regard. Toward the end of the season finale, Michael Knight reappeared in a brief cameo appearance.
