Team Umizoomi

The animated fantasy musical series Team Umizoomi focuses on teaching preschoolers basic mathematical ideas including counting, sequences, shapes, patterns, measures, and comparisons through the medium of fantasy and music. The child who is watching the show is also a member of the team, together with two young heroes named Milli and Geo, a helpful robot with the name Bot, and Bot. The three characters, Milli, Geo, and Bot, address the kid viewer as their "Umifriend" and encourage him or her to build their "Mighty Math Powers!" The majority of the events take place in Umi City and its surrounding areas. Umi City is a vibrant metropolis with origami-inspired patterns imprinted into the pavement of its streets. In the United States, viewers may see episodes of Team Umizoomi on both Nick Jr. and Nickelodeon. It can also be downloaded via iTunes. On January25,2010, it made its debut on television.
