The Beverly Hillbillies
The Beverly Hillbillies is a American situation comedy originally Aired for 2 seasons on CBS from 1962 to 1971, starring Buddy Ebsen, Irene Ryan, Donna Douglas, along with Max Baer, Jr..
The series is about a poor backwoods family transplanted to Beverly Hills after oil in his or her territory. Even a Filmways production created by writer Paul Henning, it's the very first in a genre of"fish out of water" themed shows, and has been followed with other Henning-inspired country-cousin series on CBS. In 1963, Petticoat Junction was introduced by Henning, and he reversed the rags to wealth model for Green Acres. The series paved the way for after culture-conflict programs such as Doc, McCloud, The Nanny, The Prince of Bel-Air, along with The Jeffersons. Panned by many entertainment critics of its period, it became a ratings success for the majority of its own run on CBS.
The Beverly Hillbillies ranked one of the top twenty most watched programs on tv with a range, for eight of its nine seasons standing because the number one series of this year.
