The Crystal Maze

The Crystal Maze was 10 August 1995 and Also a British game show, produced by Chatsworth Television and shown on Channel 4 February 1990. There was one set each year, with the first four chain presented the 2 and by Richard O'Brien by Ed Tudor-Pole. Each show was only one hour , for example commercials. The show was meant to be a British movie of the French programme Fort Boyard, invented by jacques-antoine. However, the unavailability of this French series's set directed British producer Malcolm Heyworth to re invent the show, with themed zones being a means. The show is set in"The Crystal Maze", which includes four different"zones" set in many periods of space and time. A group of six contestants take part in a set of challenges so as to win"time crystals". Each crystal gives the team five moments of time indoors"The Crystal Dome", the centre piece of this maze where the contestants take part in their own final battle. The maze cost #250,000 to build and has been the size of 2 football pitches. In its height the show was probably the most watched on Channel 4, regularly attracting between 6 and 4 million audiences. In 2006 and again in 2010, the show was voted"biggest UK game show of all time" by subscribers of UKGameshows.com.
