The Day Today
The Day Now is a British parody of television current affairs programs, broadcast in 1994, also created by the comedians Armando Iannucci and Chris Morris. It is an adaptation of this radio programme About the Hour, that has been aired on BBC Radio 4 between 1992 and 1991. On-the-hour was written by Morris, Iannucci, Steven Wells, David Quantick, Stewart Lee, Richard Herring, Andrew Glover, and also the throw. For The Day Now, Peter Baynham combined the writing team, also Herring and Lee were substituted by Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews. The principal cast of About the Hour was retained for The Day Today.
The Day Now is composed of a selection of five-minute slots recorded as promotion trailers to its sections that were longer and six episodes. The six episodes were originally broadcast from 19 to 23 February 1994 on BBC2. The Day Now has won lots of awards, including Morris. These two episodes are available on BBC DVD, using been issued on VHS.
