The Jetsons

The Jetsons is an American sitcom airing then after as part of their weekday/weekend early programming block known as the Funtastic World of Hanna Barbera. New episodes were produced from well. It had been the Space Age counterpart of Hanna-Barbera to The Flintstones. Re runs can be seen on Boomerang. While the Flintstones live in a world with machines powered by birds and dinosaurs, the Jetsons live in a futuristic utopia of elaborate robotic contraptions, aliens, holograms, along with whimsical inventions. The string included 2-4 episodes and aired on Sunday nights together with prime time reruns, on ABC beginning September 2-3, 1962. At the time of its debut, it had been the first program ever to be broadcast in color on abc tv. By comparison, The Flintstones, while stated in color, was still broadcast in black-and-white because of its first two seasons. The series aired for decades on Saturday mornings, starting on in future seasons on NBC and CBS and ABC for the 1963-64 season.
