The Joy of Painting
The Joy of Painting was an American television show hosted by landscape oil painter Bob Ross that taught viewers how to paint landscapes. Despite the fact that Ross could produce a painting in half an hour, the show's goal was not to teach viewers how to "fast paint." Rather, he wanted viewers to acquire specific techniques in the time allocated for the broadcast. The show premiered on January11,1983, and ran until May17,1994, a year before Ross passed away.
