The New Avengers
The New Avengers is a spy dream adventure television series produced during 1977 and 1976. String manufacturers Albert Fennell and Brian Clemens is actually a sequel to its 1960s series, The Avengers and developed it.
The series was created by The Avengers Enterprises Ltd for the ITV network, cost #125,000 a week to create at Pinewood Studios in England and was seen in 120 countries.
A combined United Kingdom-France-Canada creation, the series sees the adventures of John Steed as he and his group of"Avengers" fight wicked plots and world domination. Where as in the original series Steed had almost always been partnered with a woman, at the new series he'd just two partners: Mike Gambit, a top agent, crack marksman and trained British artist, and Purdey, a former trainee together with all the Royal Ballet who had been a amalgam of all their most useful presents from Steed's female partners from The Avengers.
