The Newsroom
The Newsroom is a television comedy drama series which ran on CBC Television at the 1996--97 04 and 2004--05 seasons. Escape from the Newsroom, A television picture, premiered in 2002.
The series is set in the newsroom of a television channel which is never named, but is known to be based on the CBC itself. Inspired by American show The Larry Sanders Show and similar to such previous show as the British Drop the Dead Donkey and the Australian Frontline, the show mined a dark vein of humor from the political machinations as well as the utter incompetence of those people involved in producing City Hour, the station's nightly newscast.
The very first run of 13 episodes directed The Newsroom to become perhaps one of their programs on television in the 1990s, although not thought to be a continuous series.
Following the end of The Newsroom, Finkleman produced three different short-run string including the CBC Tears, Foolish Heart and also Foreign Objects, most which included Findlay as an personality.
