The PJs
Eddie Murphy, Larry Wilmore, and Steve Tompkins created the American stop-motion animated television series The PJs. It depicted life in a city public housing building, based on the Brewster-Douglass housing projects in Detroit, where Diana Ross and Lily Tomlin formerly resided. Eddie Murphy starred in the series, which was produced by Imagine Entertainment, The Murphy Company, and Will Vinton Studios in collaboration with Touchstone Television and Warner Bros. Television. The series premiered on Fox on January10,1999, after a football playoff game. The second episode aired two days later, after King of the Hill in its regular Tuesday night time slot.
