The Six Million Dollar Man

Former astronaut with bionic implants, The Six Million Dollar Man tells the story of a government agency called OSI in the United States of America on television. The series is based on the Martin Caidin novel Cyborg, which was the series's proposed name during pre-production. The Six Million Dollar Man was an ABC regular series that aired from 1974 to 1978 after three television movies broadcast in 1973 on the ABC network as a limited series. When Lee Majors took on the role of Steve Austin, he quickly rose to fame as a pop cultural phenomenon. The Bionic Woman, a spin-off series that ran from 1976 to 1978, was based on the original series. Additionally, from 1987 and1994, there were a number of television movies based on the two characters.
