The Upside Down Show
The Upside Down Show, starring Shane Dundas and David Collins, is a Logie Award-winning program that airs on Noggin, Nick Jr. Australia, and ABC Australia. On the show, they portray brothers who share a bizarre mansion with an assortment of odd rooms. The series debuted on Nick Jr. Australia in August 2006 and on Noggin in the United States on October 16, 2006, with 13 episodes created by the renowned Sesame Workshop. The only show to have the Sesame Workshop logo is Noggin. The Upside Down Show failed to equal the ratings of Play With Me Sesame and Caillou during the 2006-2007 season, resulting in poor initial ratings. The premiere of the show was criticized for resembling Ernie and Bert. In an interview with the New York Post published on 27 December 2006, Shane Dundas raised reservations regarding the show's return for a second season. Despite the success of The Upside Down Show, the Umbilical Brothers revealed on their website on June 1, 2007 that Nickelodeon/Noggin USA has no interest in a third season. In 2007, the program earned the Creative Craft Daytime Emmy Award for Main Title Design and the Silver Parents' Choice Award for Television.
