The X Factor
The X Factor is an Australian television reality music contest, based on the UK show, to find new singing talent. The show's first collection was broadcast from February to May, however, as the next show it's been broadcast until the final in November. The X Factor is Made by FremantleMedia Australia, and is currently broadcast in the Seven Network. The title"xfactor" identifies a singing capacity that can be"unique" and"something" that makes for star caliber. Network Ten held faith in 2005 for The xfactor, but fell the series after the show because of poor evaluations. This year, the Seven Network went right into a"bidding war" to gain rights for the series, also won and a second series went into production. Following a Australian Idol was broadcast throughout Network Ten the X Factor was revived. It is broadcast in New Zealand on TV3. Two series of The Xtra Factor were broadcast in 2005 and 7Two throughout Network Ten at 2010. The series was not renewed for another show in 2011.
The judging panel line up at 2005 contained John Reid, Mark Holden, and Kate Ceberano. The panel was replaced by Ronan Keating, Guy Sebastian, Natalie Imbruglia, and Kyle Sandilands After the series was restored this year. Melanie Brown and Natalie Bassingthwaighte didn't go back to get series three and substituted imbruglia and Sandilands. Dannii Minogue and Redfoo combined the panel since replacements including Sebastian and Brown at the series. During the televised audition phases of this xfactor, originally the contestants staged within an"living room" in front of simply the judges, however, in the series two onwards all auditionees sing onstage in a stadium, before the judges and a live audience.
