The X Factor
The X Factor is a tv music contest to discover new singing ability, contested by musicians drawn from people auditions. Created by Simon Cowell, the show began in September 2004 and has since aired yearly from August/September to December. The show is made by the Thames and Cowell's production company SYCOtv of FremantleMedia. It is broadcast on TV3 in Ireland and the ITV system in the United Kingdom . It is the originator of this The xfactor franchise. The X Factor was devised as a replacement for its exceptionally powerful Pop Idol, that was placed on indefinite hiatus after its second series, chiefly because Cowell, that was a judge on Pop Idol, wished to launch a new show on he owned the tv rights. The perceived similarity between both shows became the subject of a legal dispute. The"X Factor" of the title refers to this undefinable"some thing" that makes for celebrity caliber.
The judging panel that is original was Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh. The board was joined by dannii Minogue series 4, and Cheryl Cole replaced Osbourne in series 5 after her departure. After series 7, Cole and Cowell both made to estimate the American form of the show whilst Minogue left the show due to commitments on Australia's Got Talent. Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow then united Walsh though Rowland announced she wouldn't go back for series 9 and has been replaced by Nicole Scherzinger. Osbourne returned 2013, replacing Contostavlos. As 2007, the show has been presented by Dermot O'Leary, who replaced host Kate Thornton. The show is split into a succession of stages, following the contestants from auditions to the grand finale. In the show's original televised audition stage, contestants sang facing of the judges within a living room. On a point before a live audience and the judges, auditionees sing from show 6 onwards. Successful auditionees go through to"bootcamp" and to"judges' houses", at which judges narrow down the actions in their category down to four or three actions to mentor for the live shows, where the people vote for their favourite acts after a week live performances by the contestants.
