Upstairs, Downstairs is a British television drama series restored from the BBC and made by London Weekend Television. It ran on ITV in 6-8 episodes divided into five series in 1971 to 1975. Place in a big town house in Edwardian, First World War and Inter War Belgravia in London, the show depicts the lifestyles of the servants"down stairs" and also their masters--the household"upstairs". Terrific events feature prominently in the episodes although changes are noted. The show stands as a record of the social and technological changes that happened between 1930 and 1903.
