Helen Keller gets diagnosed with scarlet fever when she is a little child. She becomes blind, deaf, and mute as a result of the sickness. Helen is cut off from the rest of the world and is unable to communicate with anyone or with anyone else. Helen's family is terrified of her unpredictable rages and tantrums, which she throws when she is irritated or desperate. Helen Keller's family seeks the assistance of the bright teacher Annie Sullivan in order to help the young girl realize the world from which she has been segregated, so releasing Helen Keller from her internal prison for good. The 1962 film, which also starred Patty Duke in the character of Helen Keller, was made into a television adaptation.
