Helen Keller's family seeks the assistance of the bright teacher Annie Sullivan in order to help the young girl realize the world from which she has been segregated, so releasing Helen Keller from her internal prison for good. The 1962 film, which also starred Patty Duke in the character of Helen Keller, was made into a television adaptation.
