Arena
Arena is a television documentary series, broadcast and made by the BBC. Founded by prominent TV executives at Broadcast as one of the top 50 most influential programmes of all time, it's run as 1 October 1975 with over 500 episodes made, led by the likes of Martin Scorsese, Alan Yentob, Roly Keating, Frederick Baker, Volker Schlondorff and Vikram Jayanti. Arena's topics really are a Roll Call of this world's best known cultural figures from the 20th and 21st centuries, from leaders Bob Dylan and also Amy Winehouse to academics Edward Said and Eric Hobsbawm, from authors Jean Genet and also V S Naipaul to artists Francis Bacon and Louise Bourgeois.
