Candy Candy is just a novel, manga, and anime series. The major personality, Candice"Candy" White Ardlay can be a blonde girl with freckles, large emerald green eyes and long, curly hair, dressed in pig tails with bows. Candy Candy first emerged at a prose novel. When Mizuki and manga artist Yumiko Igarashi combined forces, the magazine Nakayoshi became curious in Sweet Candy. The series was serialized as a manga series in the journal for four decades and won the 1st Kodansha Manga Award for sh?jo at 1977. The story was adapted into an anime series from Toei Animation. There are several Candy Chocolate films which were never published beyond Japan.
